HELP!!! Stargate Jaffa Staff Weapon is it Lightspeed or did I get jipped?

Ok so I just bought a Jaffa Staff weapon and it came from a reputable source. It was listed as a Lightspeed Fine Arts staff and came with a COA. My question now is... I can't find the so called "Lightspeed Fine Arts copyright" markings anywhere. Can anybody point to where they would be at or have pictures they could post of the area?

Ohh and here is another thing, are the Lightspeeds hollow or are they solid? Want to find this out ASAP, so I can tell the eBay person I bought it from. Thanks all.

Thanks

Lightspeed's are solid, they produced some that came apart in the middle and some that were complete, if I remember correctly the trademark should be on the bottom of the round but section around the edge.

It says this is from a run produced in 2003. Would they have made some that were hollow? This one is In two pieces, split in the middle.

Would you have a picture of the area around the butt section you are talking about. I looked around the whole end and could not find anything. Ohh and the COA does appear to be authentic. It has the correct Lightspeed emblem and the MGM trademark looks accurate.

This is getting me kind of worried now.

Thanks for the info so far.

Here it s. First pic is the info location. Second pic is where it is located on the staff.
Hope this helps.

When they came out in 2003 they were solid with a piece of rebar inside it causing it to flex or "bounce" when carrying it. It was also very heavy. I wasn't aware that they made a version that came apart.

Great!!! It seems I was ripped off!!! Well for the total price I paid it wasn't too bad for what any staff costs but was hoping it did appear to be a true Lightspeed from the pictures and info that was sent to me. I contacted Lightspeed directly to get some clarification information just a few minutes ago, so hopefully I will get this resolved. I am hoping the person I dealt with will take care of this. Will let y'all know what happens. Keep the info coming if you have it. I will try and post pics of the staff here in a little bit, just to get further opinions.

Again, thanks for all the help y'all.

And come to think of it, I have two staffs and the one without a COA, meets the "qualifications" of the "true" Lightspeed but the one with a COA, doesn't seem to. That would be some stuff, if the one I was thinking as a fake was real and the one I thought was real, is actually a fake.

The copyright on mine is on the staff head (in the centre) and not hidden away like in the image above. There may be a few variants.

Yea, I was wrong, it is on the staff section piece and not the but end. But if you payed a good price for it and it looks good I don't see a problem since ya have the other one with the trade mark, did it come with the black resin display stand?

Yep, the stands came with it.

Well I just brought the staff to a buddies and we have confirmed against his authentic staff, the one sold to me is a fake/recast. The thing that gets me most is not that the staff isn't a true Lightspeed, it's that it was sold as being one. I'm going to contact the seller tomorrow and hopefully work something out. Would not mind keeping it, I just want some clarification and maybe a bit of the money back. I doubt that will happen but we will see.
