I've been asked to create bundles of prop cash for a shoot and was wondering if any one here had any advice on the best paper to use for accurate looking Sterling?
For US prop money I use the cheap, everyone hated it in school, recycled light tan paper. It ages quickly and has the fiber type texture to it. Alter your original file accordingly by size, color and somewhere add "for movie prop use only" or similar text. Regardless of its prop use, some still look at it as possible counterfeiting. Print out sheets of the front and the rear and use those as the tops and bottoms of stacks with cut paper in between. I lightly sand the edges of bundles to help break it up then add a little raw umber to the same edges. Id imagine all this would work for the Pound note as well.
