Help Needed--Girlfriend wants to have an authentic looking Playboy bunny costume

Hey guys,

Just was talking about Halloween with my girlfriend and she was talking about costume options for herself. She's always wanted an authentic looking Playboy bunny costume but said that after looking last year like crazy, she was unable to find anything. I, of course, immediately thought of the power of the RPF and was hoping maybe someone could give us a hand with this? She's mainly concerned about the corset/bodice. Anyone have any leads?

Big thanks in advance!

Good luck my friend, I believe even the Playboy bunnies have their costumes custom made. You may have to do the same. But of course you have to post pics.

She could do the playboy bunny centerfold version.

No clothes...and a couple of staples pasted to her torso. :love

there is a discussion board around made up of ex bunnies. I believe one of the bunnies was making a replica costume for about 600.00! The originals were heavily boned and made of satin with grommets on the hips and ties to adjust the legs. I think its www.explayboybunnies.com

Anyone been to the Playboy Club at the Palms in Vegas? They all have what seem like 'standard' uniform bunny suits.

lol Thanks everyone!

She's definitely very particular about this costume insisting it MUST have an authentic look to it. She's always wanted to be in Playboy and has considered trying out but never did. She knows a lot about the outfits they wore whereas I'm just taking her word for it. I was always concerned with....other assets of the outfits.

She promised I could post pics of her in it. I really want to get this together for her because she wants me to dress up as well....so I might get to be a young Hugh. Otherwise, she wants to be Barbie and no way in hell am I gonna be Ken! :rolleyes :lol

Thanks again everyone...I'll pass along this great info!

Well now that you've promised us pics we're guaranteed to help out! :lol Unfortunately, I've got nothing ,but the best of luck to you.

Google "strapless satin teddy."

Most cheesy Halloween costume versions are spandex. The real McCoys were satin, mostly pastel colors.

This is a reasonably good facsimile that comes in black or pink:

You'll have to get ears/tail/collar/cuffs separately.

I bought this hoping I could use it for Black Canary and I have to warn that it's cheap halloween quality. I ended up ripping it apart and using it as a basic pattern to make my own. I couldn't find anything like the bunny suit online that looked like it would be decent quality.

I remember the club in Balto. Md. back in the early 1970's. No way were those bunny costumes off the rack. I do not know how the girls were able to move in them. They would definetly accentuate every curve.
