help me identify my Headpiece to the Staff of Ra

Got this Headpiece off of the boards a few years back... very big, heavy, thick. Just a bit more than four inches in diameter. Seems to be made of copper or some such metal, though I guess it could be "cold cast", i.e. resin with metal powder in it.

Any idea who the maker of this item is? What's the consensus on its accuracy?

Is that the standard size for Headpiece replicas, or is this one oversized? I've never seen one in person so I don't know.

The finish looks nice, kinda reminds me of the ACME, but I'm no expert. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I do believe that is bigger than the actual prop.

Remember Toht was able to craddle most of it as it burnt his hand and the burn mark sat neatly on his palm.

I may be wrong but I do believe that is a Relic Raider headpiece. His was cold cast (part resin) bronze w/ real crystal - about 1 inch bigger than the other standard size headpieces.

Ahem. Yes mine is just a bit smaller than the stated size in the old "Art of Star Wars and Indiana Jones" book, whatever it was called, that preceded Star Wars Chronicles but accompanied that Japanese museum show.

Marion also seems to have normal hands. It must be Toht with the elephantine hands... :lol

Mine also has the three holes in the bottom and originally came with the tapered piece that goes on top of the staff.

I think I got these pics off of the board about the same time as I got the headpiece

Well, they probably had a dozen on set, all different sizes to fit the scenes they were shooting.

The one Marion is holding in that shot does look big. I imagine the one Toht grabbed from the fire was a smaller stunt double.

Now I know how those Nazis felt, who were digging in the wrong place because their staff was too long. :unsure
