Help me create a superhero group

Hi!

Me and my friend are going to raise money for charity as well as visit children hospitals in our county. I will have a batman TDK and he will be Man of Steel. We will go for the UDreplica suits for these character BUT...now more friends want to join our cause.

We don´t want to make our costumes since we neither have the time nor the knowledge.

What other superhero high end costumes are available to buy? We want the costumes to look real, not like something made in the back yard.

EDIT:

As for what costumes to find, we have come up with

Capt America
Iron man
Green Lantern
The Flash
Spiderman
Man of Steel
Robin
Ninja Turtles

The criteria for our costumes are:

1. recognizable by children 4-12 years old
2. friendly superhero (no bad guys)
3. must be high end
4. durable (must survive children parties)
5. preferable comfortable to wear

Thank you.

Well, first of all, there ARE some local superhero groups around the country. (I assume US?)

Check out http://www.heroesalliance.com or the same address with UK before .com if you're in England.
Check out http://avengershq.com/ and (apparently it's sister club?) the DC side of things at http://justiceleaguehq.com/
And of course, for the Star Wars sides of things, the golden example of charity costuming, http://501st.com and http://rebellegion.com! (as well as other SW groups like the Jedi Assembly, Mandalorian Mercs, The Dark Empire, The Dark Alliance, R2 Builders...)

Then there are a lot of separate organizations. I help administrate the MN Superheroes United (Minnesota), there's the Iowa League of Heroes, just as a few examples of independent groups.

Organizing a local group (or a local branch) is a big deal and a lot of hard work, but ultimately VERY satisfying. But the pricing for costumes can be significant. If you're trying to commission screen-or-comic-quality costumes, you'll be looking to spend regularly close to a grand to three grand for each costume, depending on its complexity of construction. Usually closer to 1g. There's a lot of quality makers out there on these forums and off. If you were more specific about what costumes you want, possibly people could help you out.

Thank you.

We´re not in the US, we´re in Sweden and we don't have as many superhero groups as in the US.

The price for costumes is something we are prepared for. I have spent almost two grand on my Batman suit, but that´s a price we´re willing to pay. We think that once we get going, local companies will sponsor us and money will not be an issue.

i think you should check out http://www.officialsuperherocostumes.com, they have almost every costume, and most costumes except armoured versions like iron man have an elite version which is pretty close to the real thing. definately check that site out, and it's a great initiative, it's people like you who don't make me lose faith in humanity.
great thing you're doing!

Just to clarify, the superheroes I mention above are superheroes we would like to find good costumes for.

This far, we have only found a Batman and a Man of Steel costume with the quality we are looking for.

Thanks

If you're looking to buy costumes, you should be posting in the "Want to Buy" section (http://www.therpf.com/want-buy/), as buying/selling isn't allowed in the main forums. This section is for people building their own suits. You could also check out the RPF Facebook group, and some of the other groups on FB dedicated to buying and selling costumes (but I can't access FB from work so I can't provide any links at the moment).
