Help identifying a statue in Raiders of the lost ark

I was watching the movie today when this statue grabbed my attention. Can anyone help identify it? i

Maybe Pre-Columbian my guess

Please search for a "Xipe Totec" in the Aztec Museum (Mexiko City). Mr Restaurajones has built some replicas. And I have one of them!!!!!

Actually it's not Xipe Totec. That was our first thought, when we discovered a replica on ars mundi:

But when you read the description of this statue in the National Museum of Anthropology you see that it represents an Aztec noble.

There is more info also about the other desk artifacts on my thread on COW. I have nearly finished it and we have tracked down nearly all pieces.
