Help identifying a fantasty knife - "Laid to Rest"

Anyone recognise the style of knife that this is? It's definitely a mass produced knife as someone on another forum found some (but did not give any details).

According to Robert Hall, when asked the following question...

"Why did you choose a knife as his main weapon of choice? Any particular reason?
I wanted to keep it real simple, basic and intimate. But it couldn't be a butcher knife. So Nick Principe (who has a stellar prop background) and I bastardized some different weaponry to give Chromey his blades."

I took that as it was a custom piece using bought blades that they kitbashed but the one posted above looks very much like it.

Thanks guys. Great info! :)

Mercury, did he say anything about the ChromeSkull mask? Is it a custom sculpt (I assume it is)?

I would agree that they are nearly identical. The pommel crystal might be a different color, but other than that, I can't see many things different. I'd be curious to know when that knife was made compared to when the movie came out.

"How did you nail the killer’s mask and costume? What were you going for?
For ChromeSkull's Mask I wanted something that looked as though it could come off the cover of an 80's album and rip your heart out. That part was easy...my crew at Almost Human are the best of the best."

His FX company, Almost Human, made it custom.

Here is the complete interview but not a whole lot more info there relating to the props. Still an interesting read. :cool
