I'm pretty sure this is a Citizen SPJ56-0343, or something very similar from their range. It has the right placement of crowns and pushers, and the indents in the bezel. I guess it was a Citizen sponsorship deal as this watch was out in the mid 1980s with the 8946, and I've also seen that he uses a Citizen stopwatch.

I've just been checking out the 4k UHD sample of the movie intro on Youtube, and it looks like the watch is a 2-tone gold and silver version of the Citizen 3530. I'm not sure of the full model code for this one:

The 1950s watches will be particularly difficult. Also, I'd like to add the watch that is on the clocktower model to the list.

Okay, old post I know, but I'm still working on identifying the leather strap watch on Doc's right arm in 1955.

Last night, I screencapped a shot that actually shows something new... the watch has a date at the 3 o'clock position. So, to recap, a sub dial in the six o clock position, and this date, with numbers in the 12, 2, 4, 8 and 10 position... dashes for the alternating numbers. There must have been many watches like this, but I think it narrows the field a little, if there are some watch experts.

So, the "cyclops" date window was a brand new invention by Rolex in 1953, and was patented. However this watch might be anachronistic.

The bigger issue is that date windows and sub seconds virtually never coincide on the same watch because the they would usually get in each other's way. So I'm stumped so far.

As an example of the sub dial and a date co-existing on the watch face there is this one from ebay... obviously nothing else is the same as the prop.

Still working on finding out the make of the 1950's era watch on Doc's right hand. Does anyone have a 4K copy and could isolate this frame for a resolution boost?

This is from a 4K copy, but I don't think it's much of a help, since the higher resolution just enlarges the film grain.

I guess you're on the right track, but I would say, it's the face of the following watch, since the lower part has two lines ("SHOCKPROTECTED ANTIMAGNETIC").
