HELP! I need blueprints for Blade Runner Blaster Grip Frame and Butt plate

Hi everyone,

So, for the past year, I've been waiting for Big Blue Saw to have a sale on 1/4" aluminum so that I can have a grip frame and butt plate water jet cut. Now they're having a sale on that material and my CAD software has stopped working (the manufacturer forced and update, and the new software won't export anymore, they told me they're working on fixing the bug, but I doubt they'll be done before the sale ends).

So, if one of you kind souls could provide me with a dxf file for the grip frame and butt plate, that would match a pair of Tomen grips, I would really appreciate it. Thanks for your time everyone.

In the meantime, you could install the free version of QCad. I use it for 2D DXF files.

For a plastic grip frame I made, I traced a JPEG of Tomen's blueprint scaled to 2.7642 pixels/mm. However, I used a paint program, printed it and cut that by hand.

Edit: Anyway... Cutting out the metal shapes is the easiest step. You would probably want some allowance so that you could file away material to fit your grips perfectly ... and then there are all the bolt holes, some of which need to be created from the holes in the grip and some which are to attach to the revolver frame. You will need to aim those holes carefully and you do need a drill press.

Hi,

Do you have any advice for getting rid of an annoying scratch on the butt plate. I have the 2049 version and am looking to keep it as pristine as possible without any weathering?

Thanks in advance

Mike
