HELP! I need an S-Foil Mount Wedge!

Ok, here's the deal: I LOVE this hobby. Most of my free time is devoted to either partaking of it, or reading about it. The problem is that I'm poor...very poor, which does not mesh well with this hobby. I've always wanted a studio scale X-Wing, but obviously can't afford Salzo's or CC's or any of the other wonderful pieces to have been released. That being the case, and being fairly gifted in sculpting and scratchbuilding, I've took it upon myself to convert a Hasbro X-Wing to a display quality SS model.

Progress is coming along great (I'll start a thread when I have a bit more done), but I've run into a major snag that my mathmatically challenged brain just can't get around. The angle (and structural integrity) of the open S-Foils is lacking.

Is there anyone out there who has a spare (or the the ability to cast up a) set of the wing mount wedges that come with the myriad of SS X-Wing kits? I don't care what version or condition they're in. I'll even settle for shattered, so long as I can glue it together. This would really help a poor modeler get his X-wing out of the Dagobah Swamp of shelved projects.

Can someone at least measure the inner angle for me with a protractor? I have some sheet aluminum I might be able to fashion a brace out of.

Wish I could help you, but I don't have the kit. Don't hold your breath though, the RPF used to be a lot more helpful... Either traffic here is extremely slow, or people just aren't as willing to help as they used to be.
