Sorry for the delay in replying. It was on ebay from a guy in europe. The metal ones don't come up that often, so i was pleased to acquire this.
Ive been busy on this project again, now that chewbacca is finished.

So the latex mask was just too small and uncomfortable to wear for more than a minute with out inducing a headache due to compression! So I thought i would cast it in silicone. I pre-coloured the silicone to aid in painting l;ayer on.
I really couldn't face doing injection moulding again, so i slush cast the platsil gel 10 with a retarder to slow down the work time (6 mins).
Whilst it was fairly successful, but nearly broke my back due to the weight of the hydrocal mould. I reinforces and extended the silicone around the neck area with power mesh.
anyway here is a pic of it after pulling it fresh out of the mould and cutting eye holes and mouth...note bits of plaster stuck around the the top of the chest area.
After a bit of clean up and a bit more eye trimming
with the muscle shirt and hellboy t-shirt

I then extended the upper torso area with more platsil gel 10 silicone
after dulling down with baby powder
Base coat of silicone paint
adding horn detail
some speckling
andf after dulling down
Then onto the hair work. Some will be ;laid up with silicone and the rest will be hair punched in

Thanks for the support guys.
So I marked out the hair lines with a whiteboard marker.
And then punching the hair in, some areas it was one hair at a time.
and a pic of the crown.
Then onto the other side of the face and a few interspersed individual hairs.

Then on to the back knot, used hair spray as well to hold it in place.

When thinning out the hair, there's about half of the hair that goes to waste!
and to finish up a couple more "beauty shots"
I will need to add some silicone on the inside to keep the hair in place. If this was a display piece, that would not need doing. But the mask will be on and off and in and out of a suitcase.

I have to admit, too me it looked like a red shrek early on, but adding the hair has absolutely transformed it....excellent, keep going...chop, chop

The duster was from ebay with a ton of modifcations including bleaching to get the colour right. Leather work was involved and tbh the length is too short as it should be at least ankle length.
On a side note when doing a photoshoot, one of the neighbours who worked long hours on hellboy 2 said "it bought back a lot of memories " so I'm assuming the costume/mask/setup must of invoked the right reaction.
