ya its made from foam next ill paper mache the insides then body filler the outside to get it hard and smooth its first time doing it this way but thought i give it a shot i want a ridged suit so used the foam method as its faster to build it that way

I keep wanting to try a foam build, then make silicone molds of it to cast rigid parts. I had some really good luck using silicone caulking to copy parts of my Mk 3 armor. The heat is killing me using bondo and rondo on the paper parts.

foam building is easy and fast(depending on the piece too 14 hrs for chest and a day roughly for the back) and if a mistake is made its easy to fix i would love to try making molds and casting but one i dont have the money two i dont have the time have you got a shed to use the bondo with a respirator and keep the door open fumes would be gone in a couple of hours

A shed? I work in a covered carport. It's 90-95 degrees outside, a shed would be working in an Easy-Bake oven. Bondo sets faster at higher temps, I would need a large shop with exhaust fans and A/C to beat those temps. Its not very expensive to mold using cheap silicone caulk and glycerine. The tubes are cheap at Walmart I did a Mk 3 shin with 3 tubes and the pull was very clean.

Hi, I read all the pages and the development of this project, I'm completely amazed, and I wanted to ask a kindness, some files can not be downloaded, I ask you to put the latest working links, as these: im_mk42_v3_shoulder_by_helegak_foam_by_ironmaided.pdo and others

It seems that some jerk pissed off ironmaided. So he left. :(
So I had to take matters into my own hands...

The boots are about done. I had most of the sub suit done yesterday but I closed the program without saving!! >_< so I lost about 4 hours of modeling. Work has been hell this week, hence the low productivity... I'll post the abs pdo on the front page some time today. =D

will this be done for 5ft 10" like the other models like the chest the full arm etc?

I've actually started to unfold the helmet. It should be up in the next couple days.
