Heavy Metal Link Cosplay

Hi-diddly-ho guys,

in this thread I'm going to post all the progress on my Heavy Metal Link cosplay. For the base I'll make a Link from Twilight Princess cosplay and then add some studds to make it look METAL. I decided for this instead of normal Link because I don't want to shave off my goaty or cut my hear so... yeah.
Already know, where to buy the hat but I still need a tunic und since I can't sew I need to find one on the internet. So if anyone knows where I can find a good one please send me the link.

Sounds like an intriguing project! Please tell me you're going to have a guitar where the main part looks like the Hylian Shield and the top looks like the hilt of the Master Sword.

You. Are. A. Genius. I haven't thought of that but now I will definitely make a guitar. Since I play guitar myself I might even have some old strings lying around.

Because the idea with the guitar is so good a made a rough sketch for a guitar body. It's the hylian shield with the wing thingies of the Mastersword attatched. Not sure if I should go for a flying V or a stratocaster-like. The only thing that changes is the position of the neck and the size of the wings.

The main part of the corpus is 'finished'... for now. Next will be the neck.

Made the neck and it really feels playable. Still some sandting to do so the surface is smooth.

The guitar so far. Everything made from styrofoam and glued together with hotglue. I still need a design for the headstock. I thought of including an ocarina so I've got everything: Hylian shield, Mastersword and ocarina.
After that the next step will be to cover everything in papier mâché and then several layers of resin to make it really sturdy.

The basic guitar shape is finished.I pretty satisfied with the result.
Covering the stuff is a ****ing pain in the ass.

Bad news: The resin-bodyfiller mix is eating through the styrofoam on the areas where the öayer of paper wasn't thick enough. After sanding down this side I'm going to try and fix that. Not sure if I'm going to do it with bodyfiller or papier mâchée.

Unfortunately the project will take longer than planned. The shop I wanted to buy the tunic at doesn't reply to my email and working on the guitar is nothing but a pain in the ass at the moment. That's also why there was a lack of updates in the last month or so.
