"He Doesn't like you..." EVAZAN+ WALRUSMAN busts

Wow, thanks very much guys :D

It's funny, when I first started hunting the references on this guy, I was actually surprised by just how ugly he was. :lol

He'll probably look much prettier with hair ;)

thanks again.

Great job, Tom. Glad to hear you're getting your fingers dirty again.

Thanks Wayne. Nice to have dirty fingers again.

Er, um... you know what I mean.

On that topic, I gotta say that hand cleaning is so much easier with WED than with the sulpher-based chavant I used to use.

Somewhere in England there is a 70 year old actor shedding a single tear. :)

Sculpting these characters must be an interesting exercise...

Here's what I mean:

Vicariously through you (and happily so) I've become aware of just how "rough" some of the original work really was. I was AMAZED as a 10-year-old kid when I saw these characters (cantina) on screen, but now as an adult (and compared to today's standards) the original sculpts seem to have "rough edge" to them -- a subtle nuance which you seem to capture magically....

Well done, my friend.

LOVE the sculpt.

"HEY. We don't serve your kind here."

HUH?

"Your droids, they'll have to wait outside."

Sorry 3PO....

Thanks so much man. That's such a huge part of the effort I put into these... trying to adopt the style of whoever worked on a piece (be that in sculpting, paint technique, etc.). To me, that's the most interesting part and I'm glad to see that effort noticed :D

Thanks to everyone for the kudos.

Thanks, Chris :)

Just finished cleaning out the mold and it looks pretty darn good. Gonna do a test cast after this dries out for a day or so.

I always cringe when that guy's onscreen, even watching the film as an adult. Well, I cringed when I saw your sculpt. Amazing work, Wampa. :thumbsup

thanks very much..

Man, I'm just dying to finish one up now... got the hair on order, need to see how the castings size up to figure out the eyes, so I can't even order those till monday or tuesday. Nothing worse than waiting. :lol
