Sculpting these characters must be an interesting exercise...
Here's what I mean:
Vicariously through you (and happily so) I've become aware of just how "rough" some of the original work really was. I was AMAZED as a 10-year-old kid when I saw these characters (cantina) on screen, but now as an adult (and compared to today's standards) the original sculpts seem to have "rough edge" to them -- a subtle nuance which you seem to capture magically....

Thanks so much man. That's such a huge part of the effort I put into these... trying to adopt the style of whoever worked on a piece (be that in sculpting, paint technique, etc.). To me, that's the most interesting part and I'm glad to see that effort noticed

Just finished cleaning out the mold and it looks pretty darn good. Gonna do a test cast after this dries out for a day or so.

Man, I'm just dying to finish one up now... got the hair on order, need to see how the castings size up to figure out the eyes, so I can't even order those till monday or tuesday. Nothing worse than waiting. :lol
