Hi everyone! I noticed that there are no HD lich king pdo files available (Like the ones from the trailer) so Im here to fix that! :D

now before I give the links there are 3 things you should know

    1. they are not mine I did not model these files all credit goes to luciferX10 on nexus mods. ( All I did was downloaded the bigger badder lich king armor mod, exported the files from skyrim, oppened those files with nifskope, exported the armor files to 3Ds max deleted the hand with the hand plate for example, then exported those files to OBJ format opened those files in pepakura then exported them into PDO file format, simple.

    2. The people who unfolded this are shadeling, EyeofSauron
    and NoahC1986

3.and lastly the files are 100% accurate to the wrath of the lich king trailer ------> World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Cinematic Trailer - YouTube
but some of the details are missing dont worry there is only 1 file! the helmet is missing the skull on top of the helmet.

OK now that you know about the file and the people who made this possible. Here is the list and the links:

    1.Frostmourne:https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_6GaW2DlPY1R0dmMUluRHg2c0U/edit

Chainmail tutorial (dont need real metal.): http://metalsmithing.wonderhowto.com/how-to/make-chain-mail-armor-from-start-finish-0118499/

OK SO PEOPLE WHO COMPLAIN ABOUT ACCURACY READ!!!:
I am only going to say this once people the model from the trailer and the model from the game are different for example the one in the game only has 4 spikes on the left shoulder while the one on the trailer has 5 and one broken! so dont you dare complain about accuracy!

Enjoy!!! please comments are welcome any time and if you start your build on your lich king post it here! :)

ooh yeah for the people who are going to make the lich king armor heres a tutorial on chain mail :)

How to Make Chain Mail Armor from Start to Finish « Metalworking

you can really use any materiel just as long as its strong enough to hold together and a material that would work when making them rings, really you can use plastic if you wanted to.

also people who could make patterns for the clothing peices like the cloak would be great :)

Great thanks for the sharing so bad that i didn't see this thread before

some people of the 405th forum started the same proyect few years ago

    Pepakura Lich King Armor

and vpderitis from the same forum unfolded some files

    Paper Armor: Armor files

But dont upset you get more files to complete the armor because there were not all of them

Again Thanks for taking time to found the model and share the pieces

some of the files dont work(frostmourne, and hand file), they download as frostmourn.pdo-/hand.pdo- and even after changing the file ending, it still wont open. actually it tries to install something, when trying to open those.
also the boot file and shin file are imported wrong, they need to be flipped when importing.

That is a link to the in game Arthas model all the files have been unfolded but scaled to my height so you might have to change it (177cm) Except for the helmet had to scale it weirdly anyway they are low poly models because the helmet alone was like 28000 polys why would you want to pep that i dont know it would be so time consuming considering detail is done in the bondo stage. Does not include chest model

um....ok....thanks now we have the ingame model too but its extremely porley detailed and would look very bad as a pep build....just download these files there great and were still modivieng frostmourne right now too be 100% accurate too the trailer too. your files represent the game model..wich too say the least is extremly porley detaild please remove the comment..... :) (not trying to be mean.) :)

oh and I have already almost unfolded all the pdo files. and frostmourne is being remodeled as we speak. (The new model ironmaided is making us) will be uploaded on the same time. (please pray for ironmaided its going really bad with him at this point, my god be with you ironmaided.)

All but the guard is finished (large center skull)
The hilt will be just over 7 inches in lengh for a 2 handed sword.

Thank you for doing this man. I can build pep alright, but have no idea how to make the files. I appreciate you doing this, and i know im not the only one. If you get them done in time, and i have enough time after finishing my ironman mk4, i may start on these to have another (this would put me at 3) costume for dragon-con (atlanta Ga) in september. what is the total size on the sword?

I would love to use these files to do the wc3 betrayal arthas costume. pretty much everything except the helm, with the cape not all ragged yet. youtube.com/watch?v=99jXY7oCmz4

I'm still unfolding the large center skull... and who ever put all these blasted dots on it needs to be strangled...
Between my sanity and my OCD I'v almost got em all done...
    No More DOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.jpg

It's late, I'm on the home stretch, and I'm out of rum...
I will do my best to finish this up tomarrow
    Home Stretch.jpg

I break complex items into smaller parts and move them around so I can get a better view of them. I cant measure the total length because my method. All I can say is the measurements will be close to an average 2 handed sword.

thank you. I have a question about it. if yo zoom way out, there are parts not on a page, are those imprtant? also are you doing therest of the armor, or just the sword? Thank you

thoes are the pieces to the other side of the guard I didn't unfold. Both sides are identical, that's why I mentioned to print out the last page twice.
I think all of the armor is done on the first post as foam except for the shoulders. I plan on redoing the helmet with what I've learned working on the sword.

Thanks, working on Voltron atm so I dont get burned out on LK, Gonna put in shoulder spacing in the shoulder pads like I did with my GB design before I unfold it. I'm dreading the dots...

(Edit) I was wrong, I put shoulder spacing in the Deathwing shoulder pep, not my GB design

for anyone who cares, i have started unfolding the helmet that shadeling split up, so its buildable too :)
ive allready unfolded the inner shell, and am currently building it for size, as soon as i know the size is right, i will continue with the rest, or resize it :)

shadeling youre forgetting one very important thing when you import them into pepakura designer. you need to flip the file, so the grey is on the inside. The grey signals inside faces, so if you unfold it this way, the numbered parts would be supposed to go on the inside of the model.

its not unbuildable, just a lot of hassle, that can be fixed easily by just flipping the faces when importing to pep :)

not without reunfolding everything you did :D

its easy to do when you import the file into pepakura designer, it asks you if you want to flip faces. i wouldnt redo any unfolding work you did, as its still workable, just needs a bit of ingenuity. for the lich king helmet, i did it allready for the parts ive built so far, so no worries there :) (the inner shell was inverted)
i just exported the obj file out of pepakura designer, imported it again, and then flipped it.
