HD AVP2 trailer & website

I can't wait to see this, it looks great from what we've seen so far, it allready looks a lot better than AVP, wonder when we'll get it in the uk?
 
1st impressions are


LOVE the fact that the peds very athletic looking.
LOVE the fact that he does the flashy eye thing, which we havent seen since P1

big gore/ big fights/ oh my this looks like it may bring back some hope to the series.

just wish theyd ommited the bloody hybrid/pred skewering each other bit, thats the only thing that leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
 
just watched the trailer again (3 times lol B) )

...an i can say im REALLY looking forward to this film - evrything so far looks spot on!

-like said the pred looks very athletic
-the ship at start looks like its clearly the predator 1 ship
-the preds whip looks awesome
-just from the trailer you can see the pred kicks ass-in the trailer he kills about 5 aliens which is more aliens than we even SAW in AVP
-i LOVE the bit where the pred is holding the 2 aliens by the neck!!
-an it looks like the humans tie in may work as the aliens are even using children as hosts!!
-and the flashing eyes is an awesome little touch to bring back! (almost boasts that the directors are really taking predator 1 as a good base for the pred)


i just cant wait for this film now and all the hype, posters, figures, models etc
 
Just watched it again, and i can tell you that i was fairly impressed. I like how they've slimmed him back down and made him more athletic and quick looking. LOVED the bit where he cloaks and then flashes the eyes. I think they did a real good job of the stealth work just looking from the trailer, it looked real good to me. I liked the bit where the guy is running through the forest and he just stops due to getting impaled by the invisi-pred, lol.

I really can't wait for this movie now. It is indeed looking pretty sharp, lets just hope they deliver the goods.

The hybrid's head looks a little...large...lol! I wonder how it can hold it up? The dreads on the hybrid look like backbones...

There is so much crammed into that trailer i had to look at it frame by frame!
 
woooow, this doesn't disappoint at all!!
It looks more gritty and less comic book like, so at least they got that part right B)
This can be really really good... *crosses fingers*

Thats what is. Ice you nailed what I was trying to figure out. It looks too clean. And the forest scene.....i keep waiting for the seven dwarfs to go by whistleing " off to work we go". That has to be the sunniest and prettiest day in rainbow land.
 
Wonder if it was done consiously or just a coincedence but the main female strikes a resemblence to a certain Sigourney Weaver in some of the scenes.
 
THIS is what AVP should be: Aliens running rampant, and one badass Predator showing up to drop shoulder bombs and wrist blades on everything. This trailer has single-handedly restored my faith in both franchises. My only concern is that they put most of the good action in the trailer, and there will be a lot of non Alien or Predator filler. I hope this isn't the case. If something is getting mauled, skinned, shurikened, space whipped, speared, and just plain rocked once at least every 5-10minutes, I'll be a happy camper.
 
see, now that's what I'm talking about...a certain member mentioned that he wasn't goin to see this movie for some pretty lame reasons, and I stopped myself from saying what I was thinking then, but now after this proves it all, I can't help myself... he said that's where he draws the line as in AVP2 being immoral in some way... lol, draw the line? eh... you know, I guess some people just don't DESERVE to see this movie, so maybe it's not by his choice that he'll be sitting at home wondering "what if" while we all enjoy the glory that is AVP2. One way or another, AVP2 is going to be a great movie, even if the storyline is flawed, or if somethin is out of proportion, or if the whole damn thing is broke-back predators (should-be obvious connection), it's comes down to one decisive conclusion that another member has already pointed out, "predators on the big screen", and that's all that matters. and while I truly wanted to see a pred actually live after the battle was over, this will be more than worth dressing up for. and who says avp3 will have to continue whatever happens here? it could be about a completely different clan somewhere besides earth, and maybe it won't involve humans, since they always get in the way anyway... so for all those who want to be melo-dramatic... expect to be put in your place, because we love this creature for a reason, and why wouldn't we want more movies showcasing our favorite race of galactic hunters?

My wife noticed the back of the predaliens head and the size of the creature, could it be a young Queen?
Two F/huggers do not produce that many xeno's.
Something must of layed some eggs in the basement/hive.
And the head that the human blasts it to the air with the pred shoulder cannon/blaster is that the predaliens or a Warrior?

heres a after thought, as im liking the look of the pred alot so far, wouldnt it be nice if the pred actually survived this film, then the same predator came back to hunt on earth in the near future as he enjoyed the visit, in a film called

Hey Deisel...Spinsky...That "he" you are talking about is a "she"...Her name is Mel. She's been round these parts for a loooong time and is one of the most amazing artists on this board. She is also really cool and entitled to her opinion about seeing the film or not....she also probably doesnt need me defending her, but I just wanted to show her the respect. I'm not trying to be melodramatic and I dont need to be put in my place, but what is wrong with wanting a good movie about our favorite Hunter...not just any movie. I for one am really enthused about what I saw in the Trailer....'course I really liked the trailer for Spiderman 3 as well and that dissapointed me to no end. Got my fingers crossed until X-mas for now
 
B) lol, everyone is entitled to an opinion, and regardless of how good of an artist someone is, if that person's opinion sucks, then they should be told that, then have the reason why there opinion sucked explained to them, so that they could learn from it, and then their opinion could actually matter in the future. there are certain "lines" that people just can't cross without setting off a few mines, and in this case, it was a whole damn mine field... with a holy f*ing motherload of really big mines... the bad kind... so in a very mister rogers like tone... good day
