To my knowledge this is the only interaction on the board having the option of anonymity.
There is a potential for abuse of this feature, that comes in the form of malicious rep. For example one may rep a post and leave a nasty comment.
I have had malicious rep awarded to me by way of repping a failed interest thread from over a year ago, repping an edited post which contained ................ , and other such nonsense.
In each instance of malicious rep, the comment section was left blank, so no report to the staff could be made.
This is a loophole for cowards to mess with members whom they have a problem with, and IMHO it needs to be closed.
On a positive note, having reputation automatically signed would also be valuable to identify whom one should thank via pm, and may serve to spark friendships.
