Hasbro X-wing

Hi there, I was at Zellers (in Canada) and saw these selling for a little over $80.
I'm sure it's a reissue of a previous toy X-wing but with some elbow grease and a better paint job this could be made into a decent looking bird. Not sure how close it is to studio scale though? I've seen a convert Hasbro X-wing on this board and I was quite impressed.

Now all I have to do is wait for a sale... $80 is a bit pricey.

They also had the Clone Wars Y-wing fighter and classic trilogy Tie fighter.

Why not go on e-bay and pick up one of the older issued force fx x-wings they generally sell there for around $20

I picked one up at Zellers before X-mas but only paid 45 bucks. They must have been a mistake but I didn't argue.

There are some obvious problems with this one...One is the rounded nose cone, second, the wings sag and will require some sore of stiffening...and thirdly the engines are molded incorrectly. But despite it's shortcomings, the size is nice and will a bit of work, it could become a nice display. I believe that Zellers also had the TIE fighter as well. That one is much better than the last Hasbro TIE.

it amazes me the prices they slap on some of these plastic toys ... just because its a licenced name adds so much. its hard to have your kids enjoy the "era" of toys as you yourself did when todays day in age they cost so much for something so simple
