Hasbro U-Wing modification

I was actually thinking of doing a wire frame overlay in paint or similar

Let me see what I can get together

So, not perfect, but hopefully acceptable.

the stl is the 3d file. It is too large to attach. I will see about PM it

What it looks like opened in Flashforge.

EDIT- since it is a jpg, you can stretch and warp it to you liking, then open the jpg you are happy with in flashforge and covert it to stl.

I need a set in 1/24 scale…
You would need to know correct dimensions for that. I'd do a test print. Not a complete print, just enough to know what size is the file, then enlarge or shrink the file accordingly. I scanned it with a ruler in the shot so you could use it as reference. The conversion to a 3d file sometimes shrinks or grows the file.

Enough time has passed that I forgot why I stopped building this, so finally made a tiny bit of progress. Painted and weathered most of the insides, and added a bunch of decals from a Bandai snowspeeder, just for a bit of visual variety. I haven’t done any painting in a long time so unfortunately it’s very rough looking, but hopefully the weathering hides most of that. I also realised that the white backing of the floor panels looks awful, but unfortunately too late to do much about it.

Thanks all. I painted a couple of things for the cabin today. Haven’t painted any figures for a looong time, but I think it’s good enough, given that it’ll be stuck inside and not super-visible. As I mentioned before, the figure is not really in scale, but given that he’s an alien I thought I could get away with him being a bit huge compared to the pilots.

I also found out that Merlin Models is now making their own 1/48 U-wing! Could have saved myself all this effort for only $600!
