this started off as a repainted hasbro blaster last year when i first put my armor together, then a few weeks after that i got the doopy doos kit for it and i weathered it. it looked ok, but ive never been truly happy with it, so out of boredom a few days ago i decided to redo it! I filled in all the screw holes, cut out the scope rail, added the cocking mechanism, hollowed out the front sight, added a new scope lens, added the cords that go on the sides, and repainted and weathered it. today i built a display stand for it that cost maybe $3 in suplies, and then designed and printed a plaque for it and made a clear plastic stand for it. let me know what you think of it or any extra things i could do to make it better!

sorry for the blurry pics, the camera on my iphone isnt focusing right or something :/

Gone but not forgotten.
That looks great! The Doopy Dooos kit is pretty darn good for giving this old toy new life. I have the kit on mine as well. Good job on yours.

thanks! its hard to believe that it was just a toy once, the doopy doos kit really makes a huge difference, that with a few other mods hides the fact that its a toy even more!

Have you tried rub n buff? It's used for gold leafing and comes in bronze, silver, gold etc. really works well to simulate worn metal effect. I've got a Doopy doos MKIII build from resin too. Casey is a great guy and really takes a lot of pride in his creations.

Blaster looks great though :)

thanks! iv'e never tried it, but i have thought about it... with this, i was stuck at my dorm for the past few days due to bad storms and couldn't go anywhere to get any supplies until today, so it was all done with, the exception of the stand, with whatever i had here. the wires on the ammo counter are from some old earphones that didn't work anymore and painted them black haha
