Hasbro DH-17 anyone take it apart?

Hey how tough is it to take this thing apart? I took out all the screws but it looks like the endcap, tip and scope ring are keeping it together. Has anyone had any luck disasembling this?

I haven't taken this one apart but the stormtrooper one sounds like it was about the same. I took two of those apart. The first one came apart easy as it could. Second one....it was like the plastic scope pieces and tip were glued on. I had to cut 'em off carefully

Yes it looks like I'll have to do the same thing. I want to disable the dart function and maybe add lights and sound.

Yeah I took mine apart to weight it down slightly for a "real" feel along with a few other customizations. I think I tried a wrench or something first just to see if I could loosen up the glue but ultimately I had to cut mine. If you do it precisely, you can reattach what you took off or replace with with a more "realistic" piece

Where can you even find this thing?! I've looked everywhere since seeing people do some quick repaints, but no joy in locating one. Closest I came was stumbling across a foam-dart gun in a dollar store which CLEARLY was copied from the hasbro dh-17 (every single tell, leftover stuff from behind the dart holder on the side, etc.), however at a drastically reduced size (how the hell does one do that, anyways? Woudn't that be more work than just casting the Hasbro?). Quickly destroyed by my two year old :cry, and now sitting in three pieces.
