Has Rubies made anything that didnt... well, suck?

Looking at how Rubies doesnt even attempt in most cases to make their promo shots look good, it got me thinking if anyone here has come across made by them that was genuinely well made...? Something that was good with accuracy, or whatever - anyone?

I hate to badmouth a company with such a blanket statement - but I have never seen or heard of anything to the contrary...

I think a lot of their stuff can be reworked into something good... but out of the box, no. A lot of their stuff is either warped or just looks too toy like. Quality is just lacking and the paint jobs they do are incredibly cheap. A little work and ingenuity can go a long way though.

I have heard that they had made an Amidala toy gun that was the correct size but I have not seen it in person so I can not tell.

Actually, I think their Harry Potter Dobby isn't bad at all. I like mine a lot.

I thought it made for a good mod:

- Rubies Queen blaster
- Coleman butane lighter (new barrel and muzzle)
- hacksaw (remove old muzzle)
- sandpaper (remove seams and copyright text)
- superglue (to hold the new barrel in place)
- chrome paint
- bondo ( for the screw hole)

Don Post had some better items. Like the Deluxe TIE Helmet and the Biker Scout. Sure not awesome, but they were something that could be worked with. I don't know if the podracing helmet was DP or Rubies but I think that came out pretty good. I once saw a board member mod it using leather instead of the fabric that it came with, and some other mods. Very nice.
