Just logged in on the board and noticed that there are several topics highlighted that i know i never clicked on or read..

I hope that it's just a screw-up with the new server, but, seems kinda strange to me..

WTH is going on here? :confused


I posted this in the tech forum, but wanted you guys to see it here too.
anyone else have this happen?

I've got the opposite problem, the links I click on no longer highlight, so I gotta try and remember what I read or didn't, it has been that way for a few months now.

I have no clue whats up.

I doubt your account has been hacked, but change your password just for the hell of it.

Give the new server a day or so for a good shakedown. Bug will be worked out and performance tweaked.

With the move, some data will be lost and some will be retained. It's the nature of the beast when doing a move without locking things down totally.

The forum is database driven, so each thread (and post) is assigned a number for reference. Let's say you read thread #3. Data was moved to the new server and thread #2 was lost, but thread #4 may have been retained. Thread #3 will be reassigned as #2, and thread #4 will then become #3. So, when you come back and look at the forum again, the database is re-queried and it shows that you read thread #3 which actually used to be thread #4.

I think Paradox is right. it makes perfect sense :thumbsup

On a side note though..(RPF Mass Sigh) I had to go thru the link in the OT forum to get here again, as the direct link in the tech forum had no replies in it, even though it says 4 Replies...also says i'm a noob with 0 posts..

I still get the server error page again sometimes too.

I Know, I Know, the Bugs will be worked out
