Where I can get an inexpensive 3 foot rigid plastic sphere?

For Halloween I'm going to build a Walking Eye like the one seen in the Venture Brothers cartoon. The legs and the lighting are simple enough. I'm hoping someone can direct me to a ready made sphere so I can save on construction time. I may have to make the ball out of fiberglass but would really like to avoid that if possible.

The size of the ball makes me think of using a Oversized toy ball as a form.

Someone made one of these a while back. Harlock I think.

I don't recall the specifics of it (I think it had monkey proof bondo ) but I remember he made it for halloween or was going to make it for halloween.

Might be worth grabbing 2 of those big aluminum half spheres they use for the R2 heads and working with those. Maybe hit ebay for some huge tupperware? Punchbowl x2 maybe?

Either way, good luck with it, it would be a pretty cool addition to anyones prop collection (not to mention yard )
