Has anyone made a Millenium Falcon chess table?

I'm getting ready to do a basement theater/prop room and I think two of these would make excellent end tables. :)

After many tests for the actual grid playing surface, I've settled on using matte black vinyl stickers.

Alodine / Vinyl sticker: This is the one I've gone with. After graining the aluminum, I had it treated with Alodine, which as I mentioned before is a process that prevents the aluminum from oxidizing. It also gives the sticker a better surface to stick to. Then I had a matte black vinyl sticker cut and applied. This is definitely the closest appearance to the prop, will probably wear better than the other methods, and for all we know, might be exactly the same way the prop was done.

Here it is:

Hi Phillip, I was wondering if there was ever a file created to get the vinyl cut as you've done above? I'm a recently retired Imagineer but a long-time lurker here and am looking to take this on as a project. Also, you referenced the overall size of the Al plate as being over 23" DIA; was a consensus on the final number ever reached? I remember seeing this table a lot at the Studios. Thanks for any guidance. Cheers.

The final size was slightly larger. I used 23.189" diameter for the vinyl. The playing surface was 23.44". The inside circle diameters are 14.403" and 5.183". You should be able to make a drawing up from that.
