Has anyone made a Light up display stand for a lightsaber?

Anyone know who makes custom lightsaber stands that light up?

I saw one on ebay it was a plexi display stand with led's that light up the stems that hold the saber.

I don't know of anyone selling them, just people who are doing them for themselves, using this tutorial:

I have one of these stands and I was thinking of doing this mod some day, when I get around to it.

Good tutorial! Inexpensive and easy mod.

A type of home-made lightsaber stand that I have seen a few times on various boards is made from a piece of acrylic tube cut in half, lengthwise. It can be supported by a vertical acrylic rod (or pipe) from the underside, with a LED in its base.

I know Elstreeprops has made a case with LEDs that illuminate the lightsaber from the side. I don't know where in the box the LEDs are located, but I would guess that they are behind the plauque, as it is located close to the front.

I'm making some for myself as soon as I finish a couple other props. They'll all be wired into my custom display cabinet that will also have custom LED lighting per shelf.

The acrylic uprights on that stand were purchased on ebay from atcofca. He's currently out of the stand business, but he's promising to start up again very soon. The base was from a 1:18 model car case.

Easily made, and fairly inexpensive too.

If I were going to do it, I'd probably design something a bit different that would have some kind of protective covering.

Looks nifty though.
