Harry Potter inspired - first attempts

Seeing the beautiful work people have done on here has made me decide to start trying to create some props myself (particularly since others have already done the heavy lifting of creating images and fonts... Thank you guys!!) but before I started trying to recreate anything from the movies, I thought I'd make some just for fun. Any advise is very gratefully appreciated.

Yeah, it is. I used some old (very old - I was hoping it would seem excessively formal and old fashioned) 'writing business letters in Germany' books. and then, as previously confessed, filled in the rest with google translate. :$

Ok, here's my try. Actually this was not so easy for me, because this is a kind of very old German. It sounds really really "posh", like the British would say. Nobody would talk like this nowadays....

BTW: I've never seen any of the Harry Potter movies nor I read a book from Harry Potter, so I've got no idea who these characters are.
