Harry Potter Decoy Detonator

Both your DD look awesome. I would like to try and make one of these too. I've been haunting the 2nd hand shops for parts (no luck yet :p)
Thanks for all the reference material ;)

Hmm... Kenobi, can you upload these blueprints?

OOPS - Sorry, I missed this post. Here are the drawings I have.

This is kind of cool :)

I was contemplating making an actual moving Decoy Detonator. So I disassembled a toy robot and figured out how the mechanism work. I created an AutoCAD drawing, and then had to play around with the pivot point spacing and the diameter of the eccentric. From this I generated a sequence of 24 images and with the help of zamar.com and ezgif.com, I created a short animation -

I have some thoughts on how this can actually be made, but I currently lack the tooling, time and funding it'd take to make one.:unsure

Potter fans - feel free to share this - just give me credit if asked.

Last January I had the opportunity to have Oliver and James Phelps sign my first decoy - I don't remember which twin this was:

It was previously signed by Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima who came up with the design for the decoy.

The image was captured about 58 seconds into Universal's video of the 2015 HP Celebration. :)

That would be me - on the right- in my Prof. Snape outfit. :rolleyes
