I wanted to get some stand for my helmets but I cant afford some of the beautiful options offered by members here. Off to Home Depot I went.
    Parts list:
    1 1/2 2ft ABS pipe $2.95
    2" x 1 1 1/2 ABS Reducer/Increaser $2.23
    1 1/2 ABS Cap Hub $2.70
6" Square Drain $9.84 reg price - Marked wrong I got em for $4.00
    Foam from parts box

    Total $17.72 plus tax

No paint or glue required except for a few drops adding the foam at top. Cut tube to desired height and assemble.

Cool!! Necessity may be the mother of invention, but lack-of-funds fathered most of them!!!

Awesome! That looks great. When 3phase stops making his I'll switch over to this method...a hell of a lot cheaper haha. Were there 8" or 10" square drains available? Just curious

I really like the look of the base. If/when I do a helmet I hope I remember this thread.

Me too. Just paint them black and they'll look great.

Over here, tubes of PVC or ABS are not so easy to get hold of. The material is often PP.
