I used to have an MR DH-17, and I miss it, but can't afford another one. So I started this today. It's going to be mostly metal and resin. It's still in very rough form, and I have just the base of the gun roughed out, but I'm pleased so far. Here's some progress pics...

Thanks for looking.

It's a good start.

If you want advice, think it would be easiest to paint the trigger assembly and reciever separately, then paint the grip, and then attach the grip/trigger assembly to the receiver first afterwards. Then you would not have to mess too much with masking tape between the pieces.

VERRRRRRY nice...

Always good to see something being made from scratch.

I did one about 12 months ago using similar items...(PVC, 10mm Aluminium strip etc...The pointy "business end" is actually a medicine measuring cup.
Keep us posted on yours :)

Well, I've done quite a bit of work on this, still have a rough time getting some decent pics of it. I gave up on the barrel and had Kenny, the Elvis trooper himself, machine me a barrel for it. Ignoring some of the shiny spots from newer paint, here she is...

Still have to finish up the resin single point I got from correllian exports, and then this baby's done. It's a cross between the idealized version that MR made and the original reference photos I found. It's all metal and resin, I replaced the PVC inner barrel with a metal one.

Cheers.
