Happy Gilmore Putter

So I just rec'd an Odyssey Happy Gilmore putter from "Rumsfield" here on the RPF (who is a great seller, BTW) and I have a question hopefully someone here can shed some light on.

There appear to be 2 versions of this putter, one version with a 1/1000 limited edition number and the other version without. Otherwise they are identical. Does anyone know why they released a numbered and unnumbered version if they are the same? Were they released at different times?

Any help is appreciated.
