Hannay07's Custom Pred Complete

So I finally got the hands finished and the perma-wet added to all the parts. I was too excited to wait, so I had to do a pre-armor suit up! I am loving this, and am super happy with how its all panning out so far. I had a little fun and held on to my shuriken for a pose. I have to re-attach some of my dreads, embarissing to say some fell out. I also need to make the breathing hole in the mouth bigger, gets super hot! Any way, I would love to hear what you guys think. I cant wait to get the armor made. Suiting up for just a little bit was so much fun as it is!

how's the flexibility of those feet brother? I am contemplating making some feet out of that expanding foam insulation too but I'm afraid they might crack, suit looks great!!

It is tight around my feet but I went a little small with the neoprene shoes. I had to cut into the feet a little to give them that flex to put my foot in. They dont crack or anything when I put them on though. Make sure you stuff whatever shoe you use really well so your feet will fit in them. Thanks for the kind words, I really like how it is coming along. I haven't gotten anything really done right now because my work schedule has been kicking my ass. I'm also working on buying my first house, which I am super excited about. Hopefully I will have some armor updates soon

well then I guess I'm off to Wally World to get me some expanding foam then lol, I have some old hiker boats that I screwed onsome 3" sandal soles to to give me a few extra inches in height, I too haven't done much to mine because I'm waiting on my procrastinating sister to finish the longer teeth I'm adding to the mask and the suit has muscles being added to it as we speak, I'm currently working on the plasma cannon and need to go to Radio shack to get some resistors & shut off switch for the LED's for it as well as the lazer sights for the bio. Also congrats on the new house purchase, we purchased ours back in 06 and that was the most paper work I've ever had to fill lol, i njoy seeing & hearing about your progress too (y)

Hello my fellow hunters. So my suit build has been pretty stagnet as of late. I finally got something to update. Nothing really big, but something is better then nothing. The first is my dread rings that are in work. I used PVC pipe like I have seen a lot of people do. I didnt want to go with just a plain solid color, I wanted to give them a little life! I shaved the middle section down a bit to give them a little more flare as well. This was a long process since I came out with 45 rings total. I am almost done painting them up. When I finish that task I will add them to the mask and get some pics with that. So here they are.

The next update I have is I have started on making my own plasma caster. I went with an idea I saw here on using a cheap toy gun.

Not a whole lot done, but I thought I would show my progress anyway. Thanks for looking and as always, I love to hear what you guys think

So its been a while since I have done an update, and I apologize. I did another pre-armor suit up for free comic book day at the shop comic oasis here in Vegas. I am waiting to get the pictures from the manager and I will post those. I used some craft leather to just wrap around my forarms to cover my wrist and give it a little more. For my armor, I was originally going to use all pep files, but I contacted JasonX (who sold me my skin with the armor pieces on ebay) about the latex armor you see in my first post. I found out from him that this is his make for armor and just sent them because he had extras. I got his ok to remold these so I can have a complete set due to the fact that I only have 1 thigh piece and I shoulder bell. I also wanted to try and do this because I prefer resin armor when I thought about it. I wont remake the cod piece because he sent me a resin one made by someone unknown. I will also do the chest piece so it matches. The back pack is going to be pep and as you have seen the cannon is going to be custom. Here is a pic of said armor as a little refresher. Let me know what you guys think, I really love hearing the vets thoughts on this. If you have any sugestions that I can use to improve, please provide. Thanks for looking.

Well my suit is going on the back burner for now because I have to study for my promotion exam next Monday. I got some pics from my first con up if you want to check them out. This is my second hunt, I havent gotten the pics from my first at free comic book day from oasis yet. I got set back a little due to wear and tear, but it was completly worth it. The pics from the phoenix comicon can be seen in my gallery or on the thread link. http://www.thehunterslair.com/topic/28145-phoenix-comic-con-a-truly-successful-hunt/page__pid__343715#entry343715

So it has been a while since I have done anything with my suit. With my WAPS test passed, its time to get back to work. I will post some pics from the armor after I finish recasting the thigh armor, not happy with the first ones. So I wanted to have a unique cannon and also used the cheap water gun idea. Thought I knew where I was goind with this, but now Im not so sure.

The idea for the back was to give the cannon some cooling vents, but it is starting to look more like a damn space ship . I know I definitly need to sand down the glue on the back. The ridges was an idea I got from the back of beserkers cannon. Any ideas and tips are always appreciated. Thanks for looking.

So, after getting the a ok from JasonX, and having everything squared away with the mods, I finally got the armor casted the way I like it. Granted this has some defects compared to the original, but I am ok with that. As I stated previously, this is a recasting (with premission from the caster rights) of some spare wolf armor I got. These were extra pieces that he had laying around so he sent them with the skin I got second hand. I only had one thigh piece, and one shoulder bell and needed more. I also wanted the armor to be a little more sturdy then latex, but still light. So here they are, raw and untrimmed. This was my first time playing with resin, so took me a while to get the thigh pieces the way I wanted them. Let me know what you guys think.

I know wolf only had one shoulder bell, but I wanted 2 for some reason.

So I cracked down and got some stuff done this weekend. Granted I didnt make the kind of progress some people can, but it was good for me. I got some more trip mines from quakevirus, and seahunter closed shuriken for a steal (second hand). Got those and my armor parts all painted up. After I clear coated them I did some digging for back plate templates. The only one I could really find was wolfs, from the budget wolf build Belfast Neil did a while back. Printed out a bloated pic of it, and started playing with foamies. So far I am pretty happy with how it is coming along. I am going to dig around for some more stuff to add to the cannon, but till I find what I like this will keep trucking. So I will shut up and get on with the pics. Thanks for looking folks!

What type of resin did you use on those bells/pads?
It is called amazing casting resin. I got it from hobby lobby for $15. It starts to turn solid about 5 mins after you mix it, which is good, but a little bit of a pain too. You will know when it is starting to harden because it starts generating heat. This is the first time I ever played with resin, so I dont really have anything to compare it too.

Small update. I finished my backplate. I am going back and forth with about 5 different projects and thats not including home stuff either. Let me know what you guys think or any way I can improve on it. Thanks

So I havent updated this in a while now. The reason is I am trying to do my wifes armor as fast as I can so she can hunt with me in Sep. Today I got this amazing gauntlet top from Made007 so I am going to try and get spun up quick. He sold it cheap because it was a "bad cast", but it looks great! I did underestimate how big it is though lol. Anyway here is a pic. Thanks again Made007, and for the extras.

A small update on the wrist gauntlet. I made the bottom out of foamies to keep it somewhat comfy. After words for easy removal I used 5 small rare earth magnets on each side. Worked like a charm and Im pretty happy about it. Just need to make my blades and it will be ready for paint.

I also started work on my backpack. I used an idea that is similar to big evils, but different due to the pipe. I am liking it so far, but not completely satisfied. I will have 2 backpacks because I want to make one to go with my bane bio. With that I will add a glow stick on the side of the backpack to look like the venom resivore (sorry I suck at spelling). Well here it is so far. More to come. Thanks for looking and all suggestions are always welcome :D .
