Hanging dice in M Falcon cockpit....

Just noticed this about a year ago, Could be old news to some but thought I'd mention it. Around min 54 or so , right when Luke and Kenobi are shown the M Falcon for the first time, Chewie gets in the cockpit and hits his head on what looks like some small, metal, hanging dice, ala fuzzy dice hanging from a rear view mirror. Thought that was funny as hell. YOu can see them in only one more shot throughout the movie. I also checked ESB and could not see them....[attachmentid=11038]

Most hard-core fans know about them, but they are interesting.

When ANH wrapped, the cockpit was destroyed and rebuilt from new materials for ESB. The dice were left out, as well as the head-sets Han and Chewy used in ANH.

I have a pair of chrome dice hanging next to Falcon(Rascal) headset.

I believe that was an homage to the dice in Milner's yellow hot rod in Lucas's earlier movie, American Graffiti.

they used to carry these at auto zone, not sure about as accurate but I got a pair.

The dice always seeled the deal for me that Lucas wanted the Falcon to be the muscle car of the galaxy. From the dice, to the grey primered half finished look, I always compared the Falcon to a hopped up 67 Chevelle awaiting a candy apple red paint job, but never got it and is left with the grey primer.
