Han Solo's DL-44 (Hero) Build

Hello RPFers,

This is my build for Han Solo's DL-44 blaster, this is in no way meant to be hyper-screen accurate or anything like that. The main objective of this build is to build a piece for a possible future Han Solo Cosplay, and to venture into the world of 3D printing. My plans for this build are basically to buy an airsoft Mauser c96 and to print parts to convert it into the DL-44. I'm just making this thread to show all of the steps that I take in the build process. First off, over the next few weeks I'll be printing off the pieces and I might post a few pics here and there. This is my first build thread on the RPF so we'll see how this goes!

UPDATE

I've been able to 3D print most of the parts, just need to do the front grill and the flash suppressor. After printing I filled some larger holes with spot putty, then assembled the scope before painting (didn't want to change the dimensions with the filler primer, then not have the parts fit). I still need to order the Mauser C96 base gun, but I won't be able to do that until after I wrap up another project of mine. The next step I think is going to fill and sand some more, then hit it with some black spray paint

I picked up a corellian Exports Grill off ebay a couple weeks ago for $11 and a flash hider off gunbroker for $20. Parts look awesome, I tried making my own and failed miserably.

Yeahh I had some issues with printing the flash hidet, I just need to tweak it more I think

Looks good so far. I would take out the part in the title that refers to this as being a greedo killer though, these are not the right parts for a GK.
