Han Solo Weird Bunker Blaster from ROTJ

Howdy folks. Lately I’ve been intrigued by the weird long barreled blaster Han carried in the extended bunker clip. I think I’ve got most of it figured out; it appears to be the ROTJ scope bracket reversed with the cradle from the ANH mount and ANH scope put on backwards, but I’m still kind of stumped on the flash hider. It’s an odd shaped thing, almost reminds me of the foot from an old school chair. I did a quick and dirty not-to-scale sketch of what I think I’m seeing, does anyone have any insight or ideas? Better pictures?

Cheers!

Michael

What about something like a shotgun choke tube? It’s not screen accurate of course, but it might fit as a substitute?

Yes, it's been discussed in a handful of research and build threads. For more discussion on the parts of the gun, try one of theseHan Solo's ROTJ Bunker Buster DL-44 Blaster

Helps new and old members alike keep things organized when we go looking for information. I'd love to see your build if you tackle this one! The flash hider is definitely a muzzle thing, there is a short AK style cone and some large lengthwise ridges or knurling on the cylinder

So I’ve decided to attempt this build. I’ve got my scope mounts and replica scope on the way. I found a flash hider I like that seems to fit the job nicely. Just need to figure out the bull barrel, and I’ve got some ideas on that. I’ll post more pics as I update the build in the next week or so.

I’ve dubbed this blaster the “DL-44 Magnum”

Bull barrel work. Was gonna do metal but PVC is just so much easier to work with… and this blaster is gonna be heavy…

Well it’s done for now. I haven’t decided if I’m going to add greeblies to other side. I might, or I might not. But I’m pleased with it, and I think it looks right at home with the other DL-44s!

Thanks! I think that one might be on one of the Mando blasters, need to go look at my references...

Minor update, I swapped out the grips for some stembridge style. It seemed appropriate since it’s a ROTJ blaster…

First of all, you have a GORGEOUS build on one ugly duckling of a blaster.

Second of all, I wonder why did they mount the scope backwards(?) for the onscreen prop?!
