Han Solo Bust. Resin to Silicone.

So I just made a great purchase off of ebay. I scored a han solo bust "kit" on sale for 50 bucks. Its unpainted. basicly a raw resin casting. But.. I sure do love the realism of silicone. I would just cast it in silicone but the hair is part of the bust. I dont know what to do! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Not sure , it's already been recast so I think your clear. It's like dating your cousin in the South , if you go so far you can do it legally..LMAO

That's not how this is supposed to work. If someone recasts someone else's work, that doesn't mean you can then have at and do the same because it's 'already' been popped.

Yes, not allowed. And not nice either. And a cast of a cast would be a terrible copy anyway.

i think recasting anything for your own use is fine, i think the issue comes up when u take someones hard work recast it and sell it for your own gain, but making a silicone copy for your own use is far from being a recaster.
and yea a cast of a cast would come out pretty crappy

Yeah i agree. If I bought say a battle droid and wanted 10 of them , I would cast it for my own use. Considering I am paying for the materials and time. This isn't old news it's been going on in the art world forever , but the prop world is just catching up to it.
