Han Solo ANH or TFA DL44 help

Howdy, today I just received my DL44 blaster parts from Todd's Costumes. While waiting for them I picked up both a Denix and a HFC. Now that I have everything together I can't decide what to do.


Some background on me... I have never worked with metal before, but I work in movies and I have access to weapons people (not that I have asked any of them for help on a project as of yet, but I know people like Randy Moore).


What I think I want is to make a TFA DL44, but that'a because I like the HFC better than the denix. What do you all think?

I would make both, the ANH on the Denix and a TFA on the HFC. If you're only sticking with one you can put the todds parts on the HFC, the only issue you may run into is the bull barrel. the parts are slightly different between TFA vs ANH. There are also a few subtle differences that you really wont notice on the mounting hardware, flash hider, and scope bracket. Since you are making your own grill you can make it TFA style instead of ANH

Yes they are functional but the retrofit kits wont work so they were scrapped. So only the v2 scopes are functional

Is he now selling the v2 scopes? And what were the retrofit kits?

yes, all new scopes are the v2 (functional). The retrofits were for the first run scopes so you could make them functional

Glad to see scopes are shipping! I got my parts in except the scope a few weeks ago. I have his second run too - theres definitely some differences. I think this cross bar is much better than the last run in its proportions on the denix.
