Here is some info on the materials used from some questions posted in the HIC builers group.
1. Which colors/type of paint did you use (in the US counterpart) for your project for every component/part (i.e. block, "Han" carbonite piece, side panels and/or greeblies?
For the body and carbonite area I used a straight silver 1680 PPG base coat. I wanted that area to be as bright silver as possible because I was going to go back and patina it with a black ink wash. I painted the frame with PPG 1686 which is a grayer silver and tinted it down with base weak black. This is where I should have made it a bit darker. I then did some dry brushing on it with black acrylic. (This was my first time distressing with a brush, so I was learning as I went. I also used a rag in some spots. There are a couple of photo's of the guards, Fett and the block in the hall way which clearly show the frame very dark, but front on view not so contrasting. This is called, in the auto body world, color flop (color appears darker or lighter as angle increases.) I would like to get a darker frame flop contrast to the body area on th e next build. I applied a clear coat PPG 2024 high solids clear with a flattening agent that gave me a semi gloss appearance. The aluminum cylinders were painted with a light silver, D plates were chromed along with the T greeblees. The panels screen box was painted with SEM silver 15083. There is a button on the panel with the "Chuck Wagon" decal or the 7th panel and that is painted olive drab green. The small cones were painted light gray and the spring clips were painted silver and dry brushed with a black acrylic.
2. What did you use to glue the aluminum 'backings' to each side panel underneath (minus the "hero" panel, obviously),
and how did you attach every panel to the main block?
I glued the aluminum panels in with 3M Super Weatherstrip Adhesive. I attached the panels to the block with the two round head slot screws "tab side" and for the opposite side I drilled through holes in the outer most factory panel hole locations and attached screws from the backside, except for the hero panel. I made a clamp tab to hold the opposite side down firm.
3. What did you use to attach the GREEBLIES to the aluminum, if other than the previous question?
I used super glue to hold all the greeblees on and hot glued the electronics in place.
I know you will go for a second one. If the first one is done, what do you have in mind to do for the second one to make it more ACCURATE from what you have? Just wondering, and waiting for more news. ;-)
The coloring I want to tweak a bit more. I would flatten the clear a bit more to a satin gloss. I also want to know exactly what details they had in the top and bottom recesses. I would look at adding some white to the body patina so its not so black and more of a gray.

Slow going on the electronics, I've had issues with the new chip (now fixed) but busy season for my business is here and spare time is really had to find. Its coming though don't worry Waiting for some circuit boards to get back here on the slow boat from China :lol

Zlurpo, I got the face off Ebay. It was a cast from an Illusive Concept prop. It was the only piece I knew I would never get right.

I've been thinking about turning my classroom door into HIC. Any info/pictures on how the sculpting of HAN was done? Was sort of material, etc? Any help is appreciated!

Thanks Zlurpo, and rgriesbeck I will be starting my second build soon so I am gearing up a supply list. There are quite a few ways to build the box with different material. When I made it with the hard board and the 1x2's, it was light enough for me to hoist it on my wall by myself where I had two lag bolts supporting it. You can go MDF or plywood but that gets really heavy. Weight was one of the main reasons I went with hard board. If you have any questions just post them.
