HALO Needler scratch build WIP

Building a needler for my wife. EVA foam with acrylic dowels and el-cheapo Christmas LED's.

I know, nice work space. I get like Edward Scissorhands when I start a build...
Started painting it, it will also have some glow in the dark paint for the Elite Rave, and a little detail on the acrylic I made into the needles. In making this I wish I had ordered some extra acrylic so I could have stuck a couple glowy needles in my ODST armor.

Many thanks, folks. Since I'm new to this board I am really enjoying the way everyone is so receptive. This is part of a project I'm doing for my wife. It's a custom halo piece, but that's all I'm saying for now. She wants the big reveal to be at Dragoncon. I am also doing my Dead Space 3 Witness suit and an ODST rucksack that is actually a mini-bar which store Jaeger in a frozen jug. So many projects and only 118 days!

That's looking awesome. The glowing needles really set it off. I never would have thought to just whittle down some acrylic dowel, but it's really effective.

Have you seen Volpin's build over on Tested?

It's almost done. Fairly fast and nasty, but it should pass the ten foot test and look decent in photos. I just need to add some detail painting. It's getting a bunch of glow in the dark paint. Should be fun.
