halo costume help

Whats up bros

Just got a quick question for all you halo costume builders out there

I am currently building a MK7 MC. I need to know how will/should I attach the cod/butt/abs piece on?? They are by them self and not attached to anything. I don't want strapping to be seen really. what method can I take besides gluing them onto the undersuit.

Also. Can anyone tell me if MC MK7 has lights on his suit apart from his helmet? I would really like to install some LEDs on there but I can't seem to find a answer to this.

Oh sorry to hear, in that case, maybe you could try attaching via snaps or small hidden buckles. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHuk6mzy9XE this guys seems to have a good system.

But for the butt and cod piece, you might be best in joining them together. In that way you would only need some vertical suspension?

Depending on if you have an under suit or not, you could try magnets. Just slip one on the inside of the suit, then maybe glue the other to the inside of the armor piece and put it in place. As far as LED's go, I'm pretty sure he doesn't have any around his armor.

for the cod/ass plates I'd just build them like a belt, no need for anything fancy that way it just hangs on your hips, with a clip right in the crotch to attach the cod to the ass between the legs... lovely description

As for LED's... does it really matter if he has them in game or not, just think logically where might there be status lights etc? and go with the less is more approach, keep it simple and you can make it look good and original'ish for an MC build
