HALO 4: UR- DIDACT helmet build

Hello all! It’s been a long time since I’ve posted anything. With that said here it goes.UR-Didact



This build had multiple people involved and I am thankful for all their help.

3D model was made by JTM (Jacob)

3D Print was created by Calladar (Walter)

Assembled and original clean up was performed by Bighungry (Keith)

Additional clean up sculpting and finishing was performed by myself.

Molding was completed by both Keith and I.

The build completion of the model was originally attempted by Keith and due to time constraints the project was handed over to myself. With that said, I hope you enjoy the build photos.

When I received the helmet, I went over it with spot putty then primer, cleaned out the details….etc, rinse and repeat.



Later that night, I resculpted the nose and some additional shaping around the helmet.

That looks great! I'm curious what you find works the best for joining your different 3D printed pieces together.

That looks great! I'm curious what you find works the best for joining your different 3D printed pieces together.

Keith just used a little super glue to join the pieces and then he taped up all the part lines with blue painters tape. He then roto casted 320 urethane resin around the inside to make it sturdy enough to sand and smooth.
