I know its no consolation but they are likely just saying "they can't do it" to avoid the cost and trouble. It can be done, we have seen it done on other products.

One thing I have learned in the years dealing with the Chinese is that they don't like losing face, so if something becomes too hard they will often say it can't be done rather than admitting they got it wrong or worse (for them) still, making it wrong and having you reject it.

I was born in Hong Kong under British rule, but the last company I worked for did the manufacturing in Shenzhen and we ran into that all the time. I tried to use my North American upbringing into trying to smooth things over, but you're absolutely right. No one there wants to put their neck (with face attached) on the line. Better safe than sorry is the perspective!

It's killing me waiting for the swoosh and mag logo set to come in so I just did a tester out of scrap leather from my straps.

im even more excited to get them in now after getting a look at what will be haha.

I made and added the logos to my HC Mags!
Now, I wasn't interested in absolute fidelity to the movie look, so I've just eyeballed the measurements, but as far as I'm concerned, the end result is pretty good. Here's what I did:

1. First, I googled "nike swoosh" and "nike logo" to get pictures of the swoosh itself and the word "NIKE". I downloaded the pictures I found. Then I downloaded this picture for the word "MAG" (thanks cavx! )
2. To get everything to the correct size, I used these pictures as a reference, and I printed every logo on common paper several times, varying the amount of dots per inch every time, until the proportions matched what is shown in those pictures. I threw away all tests that didn't match and kept those that did.
3. I cut out every single letter, as well as the swoosh.
4. I used a black marker to trace the contours of the swoosh and letters on fabric tape. Specifically, I used Tesa brand white and blue fabric tape.
5. I cut out all shapes from the fabric tape and applied them to the shoes.

I just made the one, it was a spur of the moment thing I just grabbed an exacto and was like ima cut a Nike swoosh haha. I figured I would never get it close as I didn't use any template or trace and literally no lie somehow I freehanded that in the first try. I cleaned it up some and just layed it onto the shoe, nothing is holding it on. More so for when I walk in that room I see that and it dosent bug me like it has waiting to see what it's gonna look like lol.

Devil Master So all custom? Well done. And here I thought this was the MP decal kit. I peeled out some white rubber NIKE letters this morning. One set is perfect and the other is, well maybe tonight I will just mix a new batch of white.
Cobrakai22 So it it is not glued, you could use it as a template then? Will be interesting to see how it shapes aup against the MP decal kit.

Yes. I thought that, while I could certainly buy the kit from Mark Poon, I would've had to wait longer for it, and spend more money. Last but not least, I would've never known whether I could do it by myself.
It turned out I could.

I wanna wear em already.. So i had to do something... All my ebay stuff won't be here till prob next month.. My EL panel order from china wont ship till march.. So im dying..

It was actually waaaaay easier than i expected




Does anyone have issues with the rubber sole yellowing?? I havent even used them.. And theyre yellow all over.. Iso alcohol removed a little paint on a spot.. Rubber is white underneath, not a lot of paint too
