cavx thanks ok I'll start on the second buckle now and tomorrow I'll paint them white and attach and blend them into the buckle my markpoon decals might get to me tomorrow so I really hope they do lol I've decided to install el in my soles but to save on cash I'm leaving the strap logos unlit for now. Once I'm done with this buckle project I'll make the straps and move onto the tongue replacements

Ok guys, so im a newb here.. I just ordered markpoons rubber decal kit. Im about to order the shoes right now.. Im kind of excited to make these, since i have wanted them forever. Im going to mod my pair as soon as i get it. I will probably start with the toe slim, since thats the part im most scared to do.

Im going to be ordering some black vynil decals of the nike logo.. Would you guys be interested if i had extras?? Ill prob do like one page of them, since it prob would be cheaper.

You mean the logo on the front of the strap?

You can make that, just need the logo file and access to a laser printer or a print shop with one.

Check out this page, it's got lots of good info in a large post about halfway down. And the logo file.

http://www.therpf.com/f9/nike-mag-v2-mod-discussion-page-58-shopping-list-171951/index200.html

Anyways, just get the logo file from this page and get a print shop to laser print it on a transparency, mirrored, no scaling, and have them send it through the printer twice so the toner is double-thick.

You'll lose some logos if it's a US print shop that doesn't have EU size transparencies, don't let them adjust it to fit or anything...no scaling. And you want it mirrored so the toner is inside the strap and protected from scratching when you install it.

I have the file.. But my laser printer sucks...always makes the paper get stuck.. Never straight. So it would be hard to do a couple of passes on it.. So my only chojce is vynil decals

But i think i might just get a transparency sheet and do it in a printing place..

Thanks!!

Id prob still have extras though

It's like 60 cents at office depot or staples if you have any of those close to you.

And I'm not sure a vinyl decal would be rigid enough for this application in any case.

Yeah i have both close..

So just go to the printing place at staples? And ask them to print the file onto the transparency??

I appreciate the help, let me know if you need a pair.. Ill send it to ya free of charge for the help

Yeah, that's pretty much it.

Thanks, but no. I don't need them.

Also ask if they can flip your image so you have the print on the back of the film after it is printed. It will last longer as it won't get scratched off from wear and tear.

I already mirrored it :) so its ready. Just gotta go.. Staples online is being wack.. No section for transparencies.. Office depot works. Gonna order for store pick up.

Can someone please tell me the approximate size of the logos..

I took it to offixe depot..in the online thing it seemed like it wouldnt fit.. When i picked up.. They seemed smaller as if they made it fit

Here are pics inmm and inches

Shouldn't be printing like that. I think you got the wrong file.

Use this one in this post, the black sheet with tons of logos on it.

http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=171951&page=200&p=3490011&viewfull=1#post3490011

And I'll get a measurement on mine later when I can.

thanks!!! your a life saver.. im gonna try it right now.. i bought 2 transperencies to try it.. and they are printing the same.. i took off the fit to page option..

ill try yours on the other transperency

Based on images I have with rulers lined up on key parts, on the RD Mags, the measurement along the bottom of the letters, from the bottom left corner of the N to the bottom right corner of the E is 29.5 mm or 1.16142 inches (Between 10 and 11 64ths)

And measured ALONG the length of the left side of the N it is 15 mm high.

...15mm is .591 inches. If that measurement is ALONG the letters rather than through them, I'd say you're dead on.

That post has some other good general info as well.

It's not mine, just familiar with where it's at.

Ok using your file..

Normal mode gives me same size and effect..

If i do make it fit to page.. I get bigger size. .62 or 5/8"

So i guess i have to make it fit page
