Re: HalloweenCostumes.com "Back to the Future 2 Light Up Shoes"
I guess you guys have a point but you're telling me they are not making V2s in the thousands? Not sure about that.
What at sucks too is that by people paying the 230-250 for V2s, it makes the factories settle and not bother to improve the shoes. I know that with fake Jordans they are constantly improving them and it's to the point that most Retros are hard to tell the fake from the real ones.
I'm sure adding a 5-10 light the the Nike on the strap of the V2s is doable for the factories. I mean if you're going to fake a shoe, go all the way.

The reason they are not doing another version is because they do not know how to do the electronics correctly and since the existing versions are still selling, there is no need for them to open new moulds and change anything, despite certain things being innacurate such as the grey soles and the clear soles and the entire electronics.
Once they have made a mould, they keep reusing it, and sharing it between factories, until demand dies down. The reason they have kept the price high is because people keep buying it. They set the ridiculous price at the start and its more or less stayed the same because if its selling, why drop the price? its profit to them, they have to make the bread and have the consumer by the balls. Yes, the are prices too high, but unfortunately thats the way with fakes, especially these. The mags may be popular but they are nothing in popularity compared with Air Jordans and other Nike's. Most of those Air Jordan or similar fakes keep getting improved because the majority of the fixes are on the fabric rather than on any major parts.
You should see the prices for the "unauthorised authentic" replicas, supposedly the highest grade of replica available, and almost 95 to 99% identical in many cases. These are going for $150 to $250, so its obvious these replica fake manufacturers know the deal with supply and demand, and nothings going to make them change. They've seen how desperate people are for fakes, so they are giving them what they want.
This clip in one word sums up everything about the shoe "game" these days, lol!
These fake Mags are derived from the Mark Poon shoe. The Mark Poon shoe was copied and those black/yellow, black/red, silver/brown, and white/black V1's came out.
Then when they saw demand was high, they modified it and added some parts onto it such as the heel, and clear soles and made a new upper which is still innacurate.
I'm still waiting on my samples, and from my communications, they are still finding it extremely difficult to do the finger pull holes. Just waiting to see what they end up like as they are using my uppers which I sent for them to replicate, in particular the thicker uppers and the single seam down the back and the single seam down the side, rather than a whole piece stitched for the top side only, which is what these V2 and HC have.
I'll have to wait and see what it ends up like before making a decision but I can tell you that they use non UV stable rubber and thats to keep costs down, and unless specifically requested, thats what they insist on using.
