I think this is gonna be the last year as the bat and the urethane armor suit will henceforth reside on a mannequin for display in my apartment alongside all my other costume replicas. I still have a foam "Begins" suit I'm completing as soon as I get the legs from Bob D, but I'd be too afraid of wearing it out because of how easily it could tear if some idiot tried to start something while I was wearing it like people were last night punching me in the chest and finding out the urethane was actually pretty firm.
Wearing this suit is challenging enough for someone with two legs let alone one.
Thankfully my cousin Lou(cifer) joined me to help get back and forth and I think I lost about five pounds of water weight when I took it off after returning home. I am in awe of the actor who wore the same kind of urethane plated suit for my film "The Dark Knight Project" last summer and that he was able to accomplish all the movement, stuntwork and fighting in a suit that is so restrictive of movement.
But it was very rewarding to get so many people digging it when we entered the big costume party at the bar we went to... and it was fun using the Christian Bale gravel voice zinging around one-liners.
Happy Halloween everyone!
