Well ladies and gents. It's about 2 months away and it falls on a Saturday this year. What are everyones plans and ideas to make this year the best one yet for yourself?

I think a group of 8 to 10 of my friends and I are going out as Street Fighter characters.

Whatca got?

I have my fun making costumes for nieces and nephews, so:

Arwen's green coronation dress and crown from LoTR for a niece.

Joker/Ronald McDonald crossover for a nephew.

Klaus Daimler (Willem Defoe) from The Life Aquatic for a nephew.

Steve Zissou for myself (if I can ever find the right shirt).

And for a party, the wife and I will have Lost jumpsuits.

Trying to talk a small group into going as Batman Villains. If not I'm gonna talk my friend into doing a Sallah costume to match my Indy. If all else fails I'll shave my head and go as Darth Maul.

Dang, its on a Saturday? I'm working on a Gordon Freeman HEV suit for Halloween and I was planning on wearing it to class. I don't have any plans, I guess I'll have to find something to do.

I'm playing a show with my band that night, and there is a costume contest so there will be plenty of people in costume. For the first part of the night, the hanging out with the crowd part I will bein my Batman costume that I am almost done with...

But while playing I'm going to be blackman....

me, my wife and a few friends are going as g.i. joe characters. i'm snake eyes, my wife will be lady jaye and so far we have a cobra commander and bazooka.

we always have a pretty big group for halloween. last year we rented a limo bus and hit up several cities/bars. i really hope we can do it again!

I'll probably have work during the day, so I'm gonna go in as Rorschach, and then at night go to a few costume parties.

I just really, really hope my coat's done in time.

I normally take my son trick or treating on Halloween night of course, however we're both in costume. This year my son is going out as a Predator and I am going to try to get my Cthulhu costume done.

I think a pair of monsters walking around the neighbor on Halloween is rather fitting. :lol

30th going into 31th at work - Beetlejuice

Trick or treating with my boys - Pyramid Head or Graverobber

31sth going into the 1st at work - Graverobber

Dude, that Bats looks pretty friggin' great. Be sure to post details when you're all done with it. :thumbsup

I'm hoping to have a Terminator costume done in time. No specific character, just a runofthemill battle damaged unit carrying a big gun.

I was thinking about trying to get some friends together to be characters from Arkham Horror. But I don't know that it would be all that recognizable?
most likely I'll either be some monster or Snape

jiro of the Kikaider Japanese tv show during the day...and Ghostbusting at night...

Jiro! Holy crappacino! I haven't heard that name since I was in elementry school growing up in Kalihi Valley!!!

Change! Switch on! 1-2-3!!!

Awesome! Need to see pics of your Jiro! Don't forget the guitar! Are you going to have any "Gettim" guys running around? The minions that are easily destroyed before Kikaida shows up?

Ahhh! Memories! Rainbow Man! Kamen Rider V3!

As far as Halloween...I will be upgrading this outfit and running around Disney with my munchkin! I plan on adding a house at the end of the hose with some balloons. Also looking for a lightweight backpack for the kid so that he doesn't continue to fall over!!:lol:confused

I don't know... I'm behind again this year. I can get a new helmet and do Vader with some more upgrades to what I currently have... but that is a pain to wear... or I can go with Trek TOS (NOT Abrams movie!)... but I have to have it made and would need to get started on having it made before the beginning of September to avoid the Halloween rush (not to mention jack-up on prices). Unfortunately, I know two people that are already doing TOS (but lack the resources of knowledge I have available here) and I don't want to copy them.

Anyone care to help me make up my mind?

Well,

mine is a little over the edge, but doing it anyway...Going to make a full size Tron Lightcycle, Flynn's. Me and my wife hopefully will fit under it and completely hidden, I even started a thread on the build( prop forum) if you wish to follow along...should be really sweet finished.

Cheers,
Will

so far I've already gotten 3 commissions lined up to finish by then:
Mad Hatter suit mod
Fat Elvis
Draco Malfoy suit

I wear a costume each of the 5 school days before halloween - and this year I plan to wear:
Rebel Pilot - Done
Rorschach - Done
Darth Nihilus - Done
Deadpool - home stretch, just a few minor tweaks left
Lucien Dray - this one I havent started, but I'm wearing it to a costume wedding on the 31st too.

and for the night of, I'll probably leave it up to public opinion.

I have a "pumpkin choir" (12 pumpkins that flash to themed music) that I want to add dialogue to between songs.
and I want to make a large family crypt front to serve as a backdrop behind my graveyard.

if you haven't noticed...
I go all out :p

Hmmmmm, what should I do? Make lots of big plans, wait until the last minute, have NO costume, then say, DAMN, I'll have to get started RIGHT AWAY for next year...repeat in 2010...
