Just saw this one first hand and it looks incredible, the proportion and details are very accurate, even has all the small details between the wings. best licensed replica to date, I might have to pick one up.

Don't think.
Buy! It's great.

Warning!.......

Make sure it is working in the store, make them put batteries in it.

Hallmark stores, at least where I am at, offer no return or exchange.

No idea why.

Take care with the battery cover screws they are easy to strip.

Hallmark corporate will replace a defective ornament, the downside is that you have to ship it to them.

I actually purchase Hallmark ornaments at Kohl's Department Stores, they have all kinds of discounts and you can do returns and exchanges without any problems.

Damn... I read Tydirium Shuttle... in the modeling section... and got really happy thinking FineMolds were finally releasing one in 72nd scale. Bummer.

Oh... any pictures of this ornament?

You press a button and the engines light up and it plays the Imperial March.

Awesome, they got the weathering pretty close aswell, their finest SW ship IMHO.

Is this a picture of the ornament or just a "prototype" picture? Reason I ask is because they used a photoshopped version of the RotS mask when showing pictures of a Vader cup at the time of RotS - the final product however did not look like that.

Also... how big is this thing?

Thanks for posting the photos, trust me it looks even better in person.
when I first saw it I was totally impressed with the overall finish at thisscale.
The only reason i didn't buy it is because it was way overpriced were I saw it.

If they have any left over after Christmas Hallmark sells them for 20%-50% off. Talk to the people at your store about the after christmas sale.

I'm sure it wasn't overpriced, it was just the normal Hallmark price... which is normally expensive...

...ok yeah...overpriced. :lol

They have the coolest original Star Trek communicator too..and a PAC Man arcade game I need.

I'm not into Star Trek too much..but that communicator lights up, has sound fx..and messages from Kirk, spock and scotty if memory serves. VERY COOL for an ornament!

Yep, picked up all of those...

here is a link to a thread I just started listing the 2008 ornaments that I will add to my tree.

I collected more hallmark when they were $20, but now $32 for a small piece of plastic. Sorry that is just too much. I do check out the stores after for the sale but all the good ones are gone. Wait a few years and get them half off from people on eBay.:rolleyes

I saw it in a collectible type store not a Hallmark store which I'm sure was priced even more. I will go check a hallmark store, I saw a few on ebay go at a good price.
