Hair Punching Help

Hello I've been trying to research some techniques lately and havent been able to find them on my own, Im trying to create my own creature with fur punched in to give that "realistic" look and was wanting to find out what type of foam suit or suit in general to do that with. The only visual references i can find for the similar suit i want are from the narnia franchise. .... So? what type of material or suit would i need to give that exact look with the hair and all?

The photos you have shown I believe, are not punched hair. That's my sister in law in the middle and I pretty sure this is National Fiber Technologies stretch hair. https://www.nftech.com/
They have machinery that knits a stretch Lycra base and ties in a wide range of synthetic hair. Although not as realistic as a hand tied suit, it is pretty spectacular. This is NOT you mothers "fun fur", this is a very realistic looking hair and because of the stretch base, it can be used over muscle suits like your first picture.
Now, be warned, this stuff is great, but monumentally expensive. $3,000 to $10,000 for a full creature suit.

The hair is generally not attached to the muscle suit, but sewn into its own suit and worn over the muscle suit.
