Guys, who makes this? IM helmet on ebay (possible recaster)

that's what I thought...I wrote him to please put up some pics that actually show it's his helmets indeed. He wrote he personally shaped them...mmmm....I've sent a pm to leslee anyways ;)

Iron man is definitely Sideshow, but the War Machine could very well be built off the Sideshow IM.. I could be wrong i'm quite sure that isn't Leslees helmet. The faceplate is identical to the Iron Man and differs from Leslees. The top of Leslee's WM facemask sits on top and isnt flush with the forehead area. This one is flush and smooth.

Edit: also, the helmets are nearly identical in size with war machine being wider by a cm. Further reason to believe the War machine was made off the sideshow

He tells me he made this by himself.
Actually I already crossed paths with him some months ago.
Same question, same answer but never had a pic to prove it...

Leslee's WM face plate is identical to the last IM he made (i know because it's wrong :p) and that's why I think it's his. Also, if this guy know how to make a mold, I'm pretty much sure he's able to close the gap between faceplate and the rest of the helmet.

Btw, don't tell him that you're from here.
He asked me to give him a link to see where people are complaining, but I'd like to see if he comes out with leslee's pictures for the WIP ;)

I didnt, just waiting now nothing :confused

haha what a tool. I think he COULD have done the war machine one, but no way on Iron man.

I called this guy out a few weeks back on Deviantart.com who said he sculpted it by hand. Its a clear recast but the dude got SUPER defensive, started calling me names and stuff. haha. Then he posted pictures of a crappy in-progress sculpt that in no way represents the skills necessary to finish a helmet like that.

Can we all call this guy out too please? :) dragostat2's Gallery

Also because he sells them for 600 dollars! thats SUCH a ripoff and i feel so bad for anyone who purchased one from him.

yeah seriously.. I don't think most people know that there are differences between the sideshow and the real screen used helmet and he's obviously using that to his advantage to bait people into believing he really scultped it.

Oh i forgot to mention, this guy does work with Tim Drake. The dude who's been banned from tons of forums for shady business deals and recasting/stealing images from another iron man builder on this forum. The points are stacking up against this guy

Here is what he says :

Hi, these are the only pics I made when sculpting the helmet....I started from a pepakura model made with paper and then filled it with foam...basically I just needed that to have something to layer the clay on, so I could start sculpting...
I sculpted the first half, and got it as accurate as possible, and then I made the second half...I use this technique when I have to make a very symmetrical model since it makes things easier for me to make the second half when I already made the first half..it actually speeds things up...
It really took me a long time to get the shape right, but it was worth it....I think you can agree it looks pretty accurate to the movie.....:)
The quality of the pics is pretty crappy but unfortunately I don't have a quality camera, and when I took the pics it was a rainy day...

too bad the pep file he used is my size tester for Sharkheads hd model.. Nice try dude

At least i think so. Its hard to tell from crappy pictures

lol this stuff looks photoshopped, or he just cut a helmet in half or something?... I'm goin with recast

he had a half-model up for auction time ago. That's when I first talked with him.
I don't know...

He didn't sculpt it anyways if he used pepakura.
Hmmm, I don't know...the eyes too,,,it's just TOO perfect...

but if he did do it himsefl...well...I know that with pepakura is way easier, but he's got some skills ;)

Neither of those helmets are Masked Riders. 1 is the Sideshow Bust helmet, the other is built up off that helmet.

Now that I'm home and not on my phone.

I did a side by side comparison and Bimmer's right, It's not Leslee's.

Too many differences.

It indeed does look like a war machine built on the bust helmet.

Who ever did it, Did a nice job. I'm sure it wasn't that guy though.

How do you sculpt half over pep, mold then cast then attach the second half of the pep, sculpt mold and cast. Doesn't really make any sense.
