GRIMM: Aunt Marie's key pendant *finished*

Last week during my nightshifts i drew the patterns for a cool prop from the quite entertaining show "Grimm". Late last night i did a test etch on brass. Instead of electro-etching, i etched these with FE3CL as it has a more even bit on larger open areas.

Next thing to do is do the key part and do that.

Very cool

Marathoned the show a few weeks back, and loved it. The key is one of those pieces that when I saw it, I knew someone on here was going to take a crack at it.

Can't wait to see how you finish it up man! It's gonna be awesome

it definately is a very entertaining show

I will probably tweak the lines a bit as mine look a bit too fat in some areas. Very nice prop to do, wish i had the ability to make a scythe as well. Going to ask a sculptor friend to help me with the lionhead coins

That (and the bear claw thingie) are the other props I want from the show.

Didn't really dig the "Grimm" reaper blades, I think there were 2 diff versions show with diff etching. Just seemed a kinda strange out of place design when everything else was either semi realistic, or just primitive (like the bear claw hand thing).

Those coins are gonna be awesome though

Downloaded some episodes featuring the key in 1080P. Got some nice screencaps of the 2nd version with the map and the map itself. Looks like i'll end up doing both versions

finished the prototype late last night, pretty happy with it. Entirely made of brass and chemically aged to look old.

Now to make a small batch of these and i will be doing the graphics for the 'france map' version in the coming week during my nightshifts.

Finished the graphics for the second version in my nightshifts last week. Hopefully i will have time to do a testetch this weekend
